What FirstIn is

FirstIn reads job boards that companies publish publicly, records what it finds every day, and lets you search that record. It also builds preparation material — salary context, a cover letter draft and interview questions — from that record, inside your browser.

Not affiliated with anyone

FirstIn is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to any company whose postings appear here, nor with Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby or any other applicant tracking system. Company and product names are used only to identify whose job postings are being described. All trademarks belong to their owners.

Accuracy — please read this one

Everything on FirstIn is derived from data published by employers, and it is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. In particular:

• Salary figures are what an employer published in a posting. They are not offers, not guarantees, and employers sometimes publish them incorrectly — we have seen hourly rates labelled as annual salaries. Treat every figure as a starting point for a conversation, not a fact about what you will be paid.
• A posting may be filled, withdrawn or out of date by the time you see it. Always check the employer's own page, which we link to on every listing.
• Match scores are a rough sorting aid. A score is calculated from your resume against a job's title and team only, because that is what we index. It is not an assessment of you, of your suitability, or of your chances, and no employer sees it or uses it.
• Historical and trend figures come from our own archive and reflect only what we observed, from the date we started observing it.

Cover letters and other generated text

The cover letter draft is assembled by a template running in your browser, from facts in our archive and from your own resume if you added one. It is a starting point that you are expected to rewrite. You are responsible for everything you send to an employer under your own name, including checking that it is accurate about you.

Acceptable use

Please do not: scrape or bulk-download the site, attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to it, use it to send automated or bulk applications to employers, or resell the data as your own product. Automated mass applications harm the people who send them and the employers who receive them, which is exactly why FirstIn does not submit anything for you.

Age

You must be at least 16 years old to use FirstIn.

Availability

FirstIn is provided free and may be changed, interrupted or discontinued at any time without notice.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FirstIn and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of opportunity, employment, earnings, data or goodwill, arising from your use of or reliance on this site — including any decision you make about applying for, accepting or leaving a job.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the date at the top of this page changes with them. Continuing to use FirstIn means you accept the current version.
